We Created a MONSTER!

This little church

My Mom bought this plastic, lite-up church with stained glass windows for L and I, 25 yrs ago. L loved the lite-up church that my Grandma had given to my parents, so my Mom found this at an after Christmas sale at Woolco for $.99. The following year I got him the ceramic house on the right.

Our entire family soon discovered that L loved these lite-up ceramic village houses.

It's funny what people enjoy at Christmas. I think anything that lights up is a bonus. Makes me want to decorate more. However, there is one thing I always put out - it's the glass "book" my mom made ages ago and she's given to me. It has two children cuddling by a fire and it says "Christmas is Love". If you put a little candle in the crook of it, it sparkles because the paint on it has glitter. That's my favorite decoration.

I love those little buildings!

My Mom used to make a pretty neat village scene with little houses, cotton snow, trees and little pipe cleaner people with felt clothes. The happy little people always seemed so busy to me. They had so much do before Christmas - all that shopping, caroling, sledding and skating. It was a bit like my kid life.

I hope you and your family have a great Christmas and the New Year brings lots of joy.

We actually have those, dang, my memory's going. I think they're studio 39 or something like that. We have two of them and they look pretty cool. We have them lit up. I should take a pic of them.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. :)

Christmas is all about the lights. Love things that light up during Christmas.
