that's a pretty heavy article - and deals with systems for sure - i don't know about separating out beliefs from people - I think that would be ok for groups but for individuals because I think our beliefs make us who we are. I had a lot of beliefs, tried everything, finally settled for Christianity - and I have seen some extremes - some groups that seem to have little beliefs worth sticking around for, but I feel comfortable in myself with what I believe and to me it is important to be connected to the system, but not exclusively. It is up to other people what they believe, but I've read the Koran and in it, it definitely says to "kill the infidels." Yet I know some Muslims that are friends and would never even think of something like that. But I could also be acused of "profiling" because I believe I, as an American Citizen, old lady, peaceful at that, should not be frisked for one hour at the airport checkin, file obviously middle-eastern young guys sail through - shoot, in fact some of the "checkers" are middle eastern with heavy accents.

I don't understand what she means by the "third camp". Isn't that socialism or something? Something to do with Trotsky?

Diana, I'm the same way! I feel like such a racist, but let's face it; anyone, who isn't Muslim, is an infidel! In addition, their treatment of women is considered a crime in most areas of the world.

SME, yeah, she's also a communist. Oh well; I've always said that democracy doesn't work for ALL cultures. :(
