My 15 minutes of fame arrives in miniscule increments.
5 years ago, I was on the Today show for 15 seconds.
Today, I found out that I'm a minor character in a children's book, written by an award winning author. Does this honor equal a whole minute of fame?

I showed Juliet your Today Show spot and told her how you duped that lawyer with your ersatz fresh strudel (she thought that was hilarious).
Hey...like WC, I'd like to know the book. Now I'm curious about your "Today" show spot. I think you deserve more minutes of fame.
Don't laugh you guys, but, she couldn't remember WHICH book I'm in. Her latest series of books are dog adventures. There are currently 3 in the series, with the 4th coming out next spring. She just received her copy of the 4th book today, which reminded her to tell me about my cameo.
SME, well duh. How many award winning children's authors do I know?
Wow, now I'm famous in THREE countries..USA, Canada, and Taiwan!
Notta, the Today Show came up here to film a segment on a lawyer that practiced law out of the coffee shop he owned. The restaurant, where I work, provided his baked goods. The film crew found us more interesting than the lawyer, so we wound up on screen longer than he was.

Hey, how do you get a gig in a book and does it pay well? ;-) Congrats on this next installment of fame, try not to let it overwhelm you. If the fans get to be too much, put on sunglasses and a baseball cap, they'll never recognize you. ;-)

Lauren, I'll give more info, as soon as I figure out which book I'm in. Hopefully it isn't the one that doesn't come out until March.

ND, I went to Amazon and found out that only 2 of the books are out. One comes out 11/06, the other comes out 3/07. I'll get the first 2 and let you guys know.
