Life's a Glitch....

Just when things were starting to settle down here, misfortune struck again!

My favorite cousin's husband was diagnosed with lung cancer.
My Dad had a prostate biopsy yesterday. The doctor is 50% certain it's cancer.
I put my back out Tuesday, for the 1st time in 17 yrs.

Stress is my back's worst enemy. I'm trying to conquer my anger at my situation, so my back will heal faster. I'm also s-l-o-w-l-y doing the back exercises that I SHOULD have been doing all along. Sleep deprivation, frustration, and boredom are ruling my life at the moment. ARGHHHH!!

Double damn! Stress is like a lever, a crowbar that torques your back out of alignment. I can *not* do the exercises for years and then whang! get nailed from something else - so to me the exercises don't make any damn sense except as a recovery therapy. I'm sorry for the glitches.

I'm so sorry for these events. Try to take care of yourself and don't internalize the stress...or let it go to your back any further. Once again, wish I was closer and could be of some help.

Like BJ I wish I lived closer so I could help you guys out.

Very sorry to hear about your cousin-in-law and about your dad. I too hope the 50% swings his way. Trying times.

And your back. Literally, what a pain. Hope you get some relief from that really soon.

One - Two - Three. WC is right. Let this be the end of it and let you and yours have time to get out from under it all.

Praying for all of you!

Sorry to hear about those events.

The good thing about prostate cancer is a man can live for quite some time with it, if I'm not mistaken. I've heard from a few reliable sources that if a man lives long enough, he will have prostate cancer. It's something we just get. I know I'll probably get it.

I know that's not very comforting to hear, but that's as much as I know about it. Really hope the biopsy comes back negative (meaning he doesn't have it).

Oh, if you get a chance, yoga does wonders for the back. 3 car accidents, football, and open weight wrestling against people sometimes literally 100 pounds heavier have all not been good for my back, but yoga really has helped (and of course weekly chiropractic treatments).

I am sorry! Our back does often become the recipient of our stress/emotion, unfortunately. I am so sorry to hear of all the bad news - but take heart on the protrate one - that is very treatable and with good results. However, I know the dreaded "C" word puts such stress on us!

My goodness. I just popped over to thank you for the kind words over at my place, but it appears you could certainly use more than a few kind words yourself. I've said a prayer. I hope that all feels better soon.
