New Blog On the Block
Some friends of mine have started an informational blog on boycotting Chinese-made products. I'd go into their reasons for doing this, but they are much more eloquent on the subject than I am.
If you agree with this boycott, please SPREAD THE WORD!! I have emailed all my friends and family about this and hope you do the same. I will also be putting up a link to this site in the near future.
Don't just sit there; CHECK IT OUT!! chineseboycott.blogspot.com
(I can't figure out this add a link thing, so you have to type it in yourself. Sorry.)

Thanks for the post. I'm glad you are into the boycott. Ben's done a lot of good work on the site so far, and I hope the message gets out. I hope we can make a difference.
Ben offered me a partnership, but I opted for silent partner. I'll help you guys wherever I can, but I just don't have the time to do the research.
I'm gonna check it out!
tshsmom. It's nice to know you are back on your feet again, I think you are tougher than you make out, all you need now is a bout of Stepford syndrome.
ZS & Ben. Great Ideas must come with solutions. Please tell us where we can purchase locally home produced attire as cheap as Sino -Asian and of equal (throw out at the end of the season quality).
Will the ending of Asian imports, send us back to darning socks (SOX),patching knees and backsides also shoe repairs and in general looking shoddy and paying more for that priviledge, Hmm !!.
Vest Daily Gaggle.
Vest-You're right. My Stepford side is itching to attack this house. My lovable husband has forbidden it. I just have to grin and bear my guys' efforts at housekeeping, for NOW anyway.
BTW, I already do a LOT of mending. I actually own and USE a sewing machine. But you probably already figured this out, didn't you? Crafty old devil!
i will definitely check this out. i went to china last summer for a few weeks, and i have to say that i loved it. however, even from an outsider's eyes i could see certain abuses going on.
give it a few months, and we'll purchasing a lot less from China. There currancy revaluation means that Chinese goods will become more expensive. Of course, it also menas they'll have a lot more money to spend buying american companies....
It also means we are gonna see a surge in inflation, since about one out of every three non food items we purchase are made in China or have Chinese contents.
whoa..gotta start spell checking my posts!
GWB-That's the whole problem!
Funny how you wind up needing to boycott stuff from a communist country. If your government wasn't a bunch of hypocrites, you wouldn't have to go to all this effort. HMPH!
I'll have to check out the site another time.
tshsmom: girl, you got the traffic!
WC, we're just trying to fix the f**kups the politicians got us into.
As for the traffic; we're a little bit of everybody here, and having a ball!
Everything I see is made in China. It's a good idea. Thanks for the link.
I try to buy Canadian/American when possible, but I do buy a lot of food stuff from China (sauces, etc.). Better check your Pocky! ;)
Not Pocky!! That will devastate your brother!
