What Tulips?
This was the view that greeted me when I opened the kitchen curtains this morning.
Then Hairry insisted on going out.
Then I decided to brave the elements to take this picture of the 4 inches of snow on our AC cover.
It's supposed to keep snowing for the next 30 hours, with a predicted total of 6-12 inches of snow. Our back yard was already flooded from the 2 inches of rain we got on Thursday. This weather is NOT helping to melt the frost from the soil!
Last weekend I made a to-do list for this weekend. I wrote this list while L was grilling our delicious steaks in 60F weather. Included on my list were these items:
Wash and put away winter coats
Dry and put away winter boots
Move snowblower to shed
Change lawnmower oil
I'm sooo glad that we didn't do these chores last weekend!

Sheesh It's almost May.
Someone needs to kick Al Gore in the junk.
I wonder if the Wooly Mammoths will be making a comeback?
Its snowing today here. And I dont know how long its going to go but its cold and we had storms all around us last night. I will do a post on this later. Or maybe Monday if I remember. LOL..I am so forgetful.
Aaaack! ACK!
That was us a few days ago, though. This weekend it looks sunny so far, but who knows? It just can't seem to make up it's fricken mind!
A good weekend to curl up with a book, though!
hFrom the land of ice and snow:
hahahahahahaha
kidding - I think I'm at a lower latitude than you are.
My tulips are gorgeous.
Good grief! Where we come from that sort of awakening would be considered Snowed-In.
I won't tell you that we'll be grilling this weekend in 70 degree weather, mowing our lawns, planting our veggie garden, and, well, I'll stop.
I'm sorry, Tshs! I shall send positive vibes your way for a relief from the beautiful white stuff to a prolonged dry spell for you to actually be able to DO your To Do list.
It'll be there - later rather than sooner, I guess, but sheesh, it's got to come SOME time.
(Hammer made me laugh out loud with the Gore/junk remark. Good one.)
Dang...
We're having wild wind, sideways snow, and c-c-c-cold temps down here. Thankfully, nothing to shovel, but still, I feel your pain. Hang in there!
Yikes!!!!
Hammer, I'm starting to think that WE may be the next woolly mammoths.
The only thing that keeps Gore safe is that he doesn't have any "junk". What a hypocritical slime-bag!
Tweets, you're caught up in the same storm system as we are. Sorry about that!
WC, ACK, just about says it all! ;)
Jeannie, don't brag YET! This system is heading your way. Hopefully, you'll just get rain out of it, as you are quite a bit south of us.
Cherie, we chose to be "snowed-in" yesterday. Our larder is stocked, and we didn't have to go to work. L braved the elements to feed our starving flocks of spring birds. Then he slogged through the snow and wind to fetch dinner ingredients from the freezer. The rest of the day we watched the fury of nature from the comfort of our cozy home.
Pam, I'm just grateful that we don't live in western MN! They got 15-20 inches of snow with 50mph winds. We only got 6 inches of snow with 30mph winds.
Mr A, thanks for posting pictures of your yard in bloom! Now I know what tulips look like. ;)
Keeping my fingers(& toes)crossed we don't get that here. Sometimes being a procrastinator like myself pays dividends, although the circumstances make me shiver:)
Oh my gosh. I love snow and all, but I'll bet you're more than sick of it by now. So sorry. The good news though is that I hear we're headed for global warming. :-&
Mike, you had more snow than we do, so I hope this misses you too!
VV, we've had an extremely sloppy spring! :(
Holy crap! We had a mini heatwave this weekend.
Its chilly here now but suppose to warm up next week again. I got my job. I start tomorrow for orientation and then Wednesday also and then i start start on Monday...
What a drag! It's time to have nice weather.
That is so not funny.
BLLLGGGHHH! What the hell is the matter with spring this year?! Where's it hiding?!
OH MY GOSH!
How depressing. Sorry to hear about (and see) the snow.
Just heard that in Wyoming they had a big blizzard today that closed the highways out of the town I WAS living in!
YUCK! That really sucks. We've had weird f'n weather here too. One day it'll be sunny and 75, the next day will be rainy and 45. So strange. Damn Al Gore for inventing Global Warming!
Hmmm...
Our window's open to let in fresh air. It's probably in the 60s here. Beautiful day.
Good thing you didn't put away those snow jackets. Now, I'm trying to remember the reason we left the Midwest. I think it had something to do with the weather.
that is so freaking not funny. I agree with Hammer. We need MINIMUM CO2 emissions.
tagged you at my place, Tshsmom!
Boy, I keep checking back to see if you've posted anything new and you're as bad as me. That's not allowed! Hope everything is okay with you and yours.
Hammer made me laugh. ^_^ I hope your snow has all melted away by now. Yeesh! I've actually read more than a few news bits on the coming of the next Ice Age over the last few months. :-P Apparently the weather is out to get us one way or another. Maybe we'll end up like a poorly nuked burrito -- crispy on the edges and frozen in the middle. ^_^
'Kay, these pictures are just depressing me now.
