Weather Update
It actually got to -40F last night. I just discovered that -40F is the same as -40C, but that doesn't make it feel any warmer.
We set a new record for cold...oh goody!
We were supposed to get 20-30 mph winds between midnight and 9 a.m. Fortunately we didn't get ANY wind...for that I am thankful.

Gee, and it's unseasonably warm up here! Weird!
Oh! We have been having Santa Ana Winds around here, which means that I was sort of crabby whilst walking to the park today (wearing shorts) because it was too warm.
Wind on top of that cold temperature would have been just plain unfair. I'm bitching because it was 10F this morning. Even though it's going lower, we're still supposed to stay in single digits.
My brother got married in Minnesota around Christmas time, many years ago. I remember it being very cold, but I'm sure it wasn't -40. Wow, hang in there and stay warm!

WC, it seems that this "Arctic Blast" came straight at us and didn't veer west.
Sonja, maybe you'd like to borrow some snow so your winds don't increase the fire danger out there? ;)
Squirl, we're actually looking forward to the single digits that are supposed to arrive on Friday!

Bridg, I was just considering having some hot chocolate laced with peppermint schnapps. Warm wishes work just as well though! ;)

-40F is the same as -40C? I did not know that the two ever crossed paths.
We were sunny last week, now we are rainy and cold as per normal.
DC, our winter is returning to normal too. I hope it lasts. ;)
