In All Fairness...

The above picture is MY share of our mess. My sewing desk became the dumping spot for all the stuff I didn't know what to do with. Notice that the vibrating dolphin is the crowning jewel on this stack.

I think it's safe to put the fan away for the winter now. The deer antlers will be hung in the garage this weekend. The rest of the stack? After 10 months, I haven't found a use for it, so into the garbage it goes.

The other side of our bedroom contains the crown jewel of my guys' mess. Computer games, user's manuals, blank CDs and DVDs NEVER make it back to where they belong. I drew the line, and had a minor tantrum when their mess overflowed the computer desk and took over my antique dresser. The desk and dresser are now clutter free. Let's hear it for tantrums!

EVERY sewing desk should have antlers and a vibrating dolphin. Definitely.

Yes trantrums get us almost everything we want. I know that from personal exp. But then it gets done though. I think I might have one today when J gets home from work. He had to go in for a few hours today but when he comes home i want some of these left over boxes out of my livingroom. There are few boxes still not put away and we ahve been in the house for a month now and i want our room in the basement put together this weekend. we ahve a finished room in the basement we have been using as a family room. i might try and take a pix that also. Well is suppose. but yes i agree tantrums work tremendously well for us women. LOL....

Diana, this may explain why I have a HUGE basket of mending that isn't getting done. :(

tweets, it'll all come together eventually.
Just don't have too many tantrums. Then the guys just get used to them and they become ineffective. ;)

SME, don't get smart! I haven't mailed your Christmas box yet...there COULD be room for the dolphin. ;)
I was going to hang my antlers in the den, but I think they'll look better in the workshop area of the garage.
The other stuff is a wall-hanging kit for the Roomba. I can't see us EVER using that.

Ohmygosh! LOL You should see my house before I make it fit for pictures! I haven't touched my office in a while, I'll have to send you a photo of that. It's too funny! I also have family members who can't find the dishwasher, mostly because I instituted a rule that if you have dirty dishes and the dishwasher is full of clean ones, you unload them. Amazingly the only person to discover clean dishes is me! Then all the other dishes find their way in from other rooms. Have you see the show, "Little People, Big World?" The mother on that reality show (Mrs. Roloff) insisted that her house look exactly as it really does for t.v. She didn't bother to pick up any of the clutter. She said, this is how we really live. We're busy people and we don't always find time for the household chores. You gotta love it!

VV, be brave, post your office picture.
This mess is a prime example of the fact, that there aren't enough hours in the day. While working on the OUTSIDE of the house, chaos ruled INSIDE. It's looking a LOT better now.
At our house, it's Z's job to unload the dishwasher. He NEVER seems to know when the dishes are clean. WELL...if he'd open it once in awhile to load dirty dishes, he'd know.
LOL, when the dishwasher is empty, and the cupboards are empty, I call for a dish roundup. I can't believe how many dishes Z can squirrel away in his room.
I've watched that show too. They really are a normal family!

Our dolphin doesn't vibrate, but it chitters. :)

Candace, this one chitters too. It was a gift, so we can't get rid of it for awhile. :(
