Mother's Day Memories
The similarities of these two pictures has always amazed me.
The picture on the bottom is SME at age 4. It was a Sunday afternoon, in the fall. We had just come out, to where our trucks were parked, from my parents' cabin. We were having lunch and a bonfire, before we headed back to town. SME found an out of the way log to sit and enjoy her favorite treat...orange pop.
2-year-old Z is on the top. It was a beautiful June afternoon. L and I were setting up our pop-up camper, while SME kept an eye on her brother. Z didn't think we'd EVER get done setting up camp, so he could play in the sand with his trucks. He therefore decided he'd rather live in the woods.
Mother's Day always finds me remembering all the wonderful times we've had with our kids. I'm so grateful to have been blessed with 2 beautiful, intelligent children! Seeing the world through their perspective is a lifelong miracle!
I LOVE YOU GUYS!! Thanks for making motherhood such a fulfilling experience!!

For some odd reason I thought they were the same child at first glance. I had to go back and look again after reading. Boy do they look a lot alike. But in a good way SME. Happy Mother Day from YOUR OTHER DAUGHTER!!!!!
Thanks Tweets!
That's what I like about those pics. They share so many mannerisms, in addition to their physical similarities.
Thanks for the pics! And have a happy Mother's Day.
Thanks WC!
Cute little buggers, weren't they?
Arent we all cute when we are small. Then what happens. We grow up and think we are all ugly and adore our baby pix. LOL.. I wish I had some of my baby pix when I was Z's age in that pix. Oh talking pix I have some for you but waiting till Brianna's come back on the 30th. Then I will send them out.
We did look sooo much alike!
I remember that Big Bird hat I was wearing.
SME, yeah, I think people will always be able to tell that you're siblings. ;)
a happy mother's day to you!
Happy Mothers Day, Tshsmom! Great pics.
Happy Mother's Day! Cute pics!!
The resemblance is striking! Same eyes, nose, face, only the hair cut and color is different. It is a lovely post. Happy belated Mother's day!
Thanks everybody!! I hope your day was as pleasant as mine. ;)
alix, you need to start blogging again. We miss you!!
LC, You're right, Z was blonde as a toddler. SME's hair has always been dark. Z has always been bigger than SME was at the same age. That's a GOOD thing for a boy! ;)
They are so beautiful.
Ohhhh, what beautiful babies! I still call my teenagers my babies and they hate/love it. Beautiful babies, truly and I love the pix, so sweet.
Gardenia, thanks; we think so too!
VV, LOL! SME's OK with it now, but Z gets all embarrassed: "Yeah, yeah, I'm your baby, now quit hugging me!"
Tag your it. LOL... Have fun with it. When you have a minute.
I'm working on a tag from Sonja right now. I'll do it as soon as I finish that one.
Z was way cuter than me. He had eyelashes about a foot long and curly blonde hair.
Tweety, Tshsmom, I thought that they were the same child as well.
BOY talk about good lookin'!!!
And oh so sweet.
Happy Mum's Day, Tshsmom.
SME, he was NOT way cuter than you!! Sorry kid, but you got Dad's eyes, and the accompanying eyelashes. In addition, that picture was taken during your eyelash plucking phase. ;)
Bridg, thanks! L and I think they're our greatest accomplishment!!
They were cute little buggers.
hey, drop me a line and let me know if teh forrest fires are affecting you!
GWB, it's a good thing they're cute when they're little. It keeps us from killing them when they're teens. ;)
I sent you an email.
Nah, Z was way cuter! ;)
SME, you were BOTH beautiful children!!
You can't notice who you're posting as, so how would you know if you were cute? heehee
Sweet sweet sweet!
Hope your Mother's Day was full of good remembrances. Such a gift.
Happy belated Mother's Day! *hugs* *kiss*
