How COOL is THIS?!

I received this email last week:

Hi,
Thanks for your great comments about our music on Blogger. Visit our page at http://kingharvestmusic.blogspot.com/
All the best in 2008.
King Harvest

For you "young'uns" out there, King Harvest recorded one of my all-time favorite songs, Dancing in the Moonlight.

I know that this email is a bit of shameless advertising on their part. BUT, somebody from their blog actually read the post I mentioned their song in, AND took the time to send me a form email. So, yeah, I think this is COOL!

Edit: Congratulations Gardenia, on being the 25,000th visitor to my blog!

25000? Wow!
Congrats!

I'll have to listen to that song. Not sure if I've heard it before.

Thanks ZS!
The song is probably a little "light" for your tastes, but it always lifts my spirits.

I loved Dancing in the Moonlight. It was from, what, 72, 73? It really brings back memories. And would have loved that e-mail, too.

Congrats on the email, tshs! Must have made your day, huh? Love the song, too.

25,000th visitor!! Wow! Any prizes for Gardenia?? ;)

Squirl, according to the band, it was a hit in France in '71, but didn't hit the charts here until '73.

Cherie, I thought it was a joke until I checked it out, then I did a little dance around my chair! ;)

Yeah, I need a prize. How about:

Gardenia wins free lodging and meals at Chez Mom, if she ever brings her grandson up north to frolic in the snow and watch the northern lights.

I'm just happy that my 25,000th was somebody I know. The last few momentous numbers have been weird Google searches...or me.

Who'd a thunk it? That really was a great song back in the day.

It sounds familiar but not sure. I like oldie music better than this newer stuff they are coming out with so neat..

Never heard that song, but your story is cool. What does Gardenia win?

That is SO cool that you got an email from one of your favorite bands!

I wanted to thank you SO much for wishing me a very Happy New Year. I don't get online very often, but I was very touched that you were thinking of me. That made my day!

My doctor has advised me to start blogging again (because he knows it lifts my spirits), and I think that's a good thing.

I am looking forward to being in touch with you on our respective blogs.

Thanks again for the happy thoughts!

Love,
Bhakti

Jeannie, I think maybe I should buy their CD so I can put the song on my MP3. All I've got now is the 45. That's one song that ALWAYS lifts my spirits!

Tweets, somebody put the song on YouTube, and the band members found it and gave some background info on the song in the comment section.

ZF, Gardenia wins a free frolic in the snow whenever she feels like leaving Florida.

Bhakti, I'm thrilled to see that you're up for some blogging! I've missed you, but I didn't want to push you to come back with all the pain you're in.
