Friggin' Google Nazis!
I've only been able to get onto my dashboard ONCE, in the last 3 days. That's real cute, when I've got comment moderation on! Every time I try to moderate comments, or write a new post, I get a screen to sign up with "new blogger", with no other options on the page. I finally bit the bullet and switched over today. I DON'T WANNA!! I'm perfectly happy with my "old" blogger.
Blogger also hasn't been letting me comment. I'll write a comment, hit publish, and WHOOSH...my comment disappears! Hopefully, "new blogger" will let me blog again.
Things are a little bit better AND a little bit worse around here.
Z, with a little advice from Dad, managed to get his MP3 player working again. It still has a few glitches, but it's useable. Z learned a valuable lesson about taking risks with valuable possesssions.
I have this weekend off and we WILL get the Christmas boxes out of the living room and into the attic of the garage.
Last weekend L had a migraine on Saturday, so he slept all day. Sunday his arthritic shoulder hurt. Well DUH! Laying on it all day Saturday didn't help his shoulder one damned bit! Needless to say, communication was at a standstill last weekend. This weekend we WILL have a family meeting to get everybody back onto their schedule of chores and schooling.
The sale of my parent's cabin went through yesterday. My mother had to make one more cutting remark to me. Hopefully this issue will fade into the background now.
My Boss hired a new afternoon waittress, 2 weeks ago. So far she's showed up 3 days, out of the 7 days she's been scheduled! Boss also hired a new morning dishwasher this week. She showed up, and did a great job, the first 2 days. Today, she was a no-show! HOW do these people pay their bills? So today I got to waittress, wash dishes, and bake bars for a catering job. Too bad I only get paid for 1 of the 3 jobs.
We haven't heard anything from the loony Twin Cities relatives this week. No news is good
news!
Once again, I'm sucking it up, and accepting my lot in life as the unappreciated manager of this household. It's a dirty, thankless job, but SOMEBODY has to do it!

LOL.. I actually got in to comment just now. I have been having problems all afternoon. I stopped and took a break from folding laundry I am still doing from yesterdays fiasco with lice. YIKES.. I hope this doesnt happen often. But its not to bad. Just a lot of extra work. Well I suppose I better get back to my chores. Catch you all later. I havent had to switch yet but more than likely soon esp if they are going in alphabetical order. LOL... Well later N.

I switched to beta a while ago, I had zero problems with it until they started making everyone switch. Now, my blog was lost for a while, and there are no comments. And sure, they say they're working on it, but is it fixed? Nope. Why couldn't they just let people migrate as they choose?
Must go take Karen Silkwood shower now.

When I switched, about half of my commenters became anonymous. The other half lost their avatars.
I agree; why don't they work out the bugs BEFORE they insist that everybody switch! Friggin' Nazis!
I have noticed that most of us are annonymous on some of the blogs. I think I already switched without knowing it until last night when I decided to try it and it wouldnt let me. LOL.... Its different for sure. But I like blogging with you girls and guys anyway. Hope this blogger problems go away. It takes forever for me to get in but I dont know how much of htis is computer problems or blogger problems. Its hard to say. This is the first time I have gotten this far today except I added sme's name to my side bar so i can cheat and go right to hers. I was trying to add yours but when i click on it, it says it cant be found so i am waiting for sme to e-mail with the info i need for that part now.
I just lost my comment here. I know it has to be approved first but i lost it anyway. I think I accidently switched a while back. I went ot do so last night and it wouldnt let me. saying I had done so already. Weird if you ask me. LOL... Its not so bad. This is the first time I have gotten to comment today because of either computer problems or blogger problems not sure which. The computer we have for internet service an EMACHINE and it sucks royally. We have had it for about four years now and thinking about getting a dell one of these days for up stairs. Well anyway just thought I would stop in and say hi.
I was concerned when blogger forced me to switch too, but it was uneventful, and the new one seems to be working fine.
LOL... I am only joking here but why is everyone talking about bugs alll of a sudden esp after the lice we had. It makes me all itchy and shivery. YUCKIE. I know what you all mean though. I have had a hard time commenting on half the blogs I see. Oh well it happens. I will try again later. Actual if beta is the new blogger I switched a while ago now. And didnt realize it.

Having a hard time getting you added to my side bar as sme has told me how. I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I keep trying. I am not sure if its the blog address I have wrong or what but for some reason I cant get your or Scrunch on my side bar. Oh well that is ok I will sooner or later. Sme is suppose to e-mailing me with some blog addresses or instructions on how to do so.
Tweets, you switched to new blogger right after you started blogging. I don't know how to add stuff to the sidebar either. I just store all my blogger friends in a Favorites folder.

The same thing happened to Mr Anchovy, Wandering Coyote, Vancouver Voyeur, and SME.
SME tried switching several times, but they said her blog was too large to switch. NOW, they made her switch.
A lot of people's custom templates have come through unscathed. Others have lost the stuff on their sidebar. I wish you luck when they force you to switch by denying you access to your blog!

I remember that now. SME gave me good instructions on how to add stuff to my side bar. I think I am really getting the hang of this. I am still missing two names that I would love to visit and cant find. Gardenia, and one other I cant think of right now. I think you should have sme tell you how to put the people on your side bar. Tweets, Gardenia's blog isn't "public" right now. She had a problem with a woman, in her town, stalking her. I'm sure that she'll have a public blog again, when she completes her move back to Florida. In the meantime, there's no way to link her blog.

VV, it really isn't that bad. So far there's no wind, which makes a huge difference. It was a BEAUTIFUL, -30F, morning, with the full moon glistening on the little bit of snow we have!
You guys have a damp cold, which always feels colder to me.
What about me? And what is an Avatar guys and gals? It was so cold today they cancelled school for the kids. The temp was like -12 this morning and then -35-40 below with windchills. I dont blame them one bit for cancelling school. Esp for those that have to walk to school. Well have to go finish cleaning.I started now I have to go finish. I migh just sweep today and mop tomorrow but I still have to go finish laundry. Tweets.
Heh. I had to create a gmail acct and everything, then beta's been really strange so I see where you're coming from. I tried to resist switching but they left me no choice.
I don't understand some people's work ethic (or lack thereof). I loved waiting tables, not the act in itself, but the money I made. It was acting. I always tried to make some small talk with customers, and was always glad when someone would go on vacation because it meant more hours for me.
I think one of the funniest stories I had at my last job (before I went into software full-time) was explaining that the still alive bug in their salad was a good thing. "We only serve organic salad because our customers demand only the best," I explained to them, "and the unfortunate thing about organic salads is even though we wash them twice, you still get bugs. But it's definitely better than eating pesticides and dying of some weird cancer." I can't believe I still got a 20% tip on that one.
Now dishwashing, I could see someone not showing up.
Not to mention we also have horrific winds that feel like knives cutting through you. Brrrrr!

Blech, I've not been happy with the switch to google blogger. Seems like there are more issues now than before. As far as work, I hear ya. I'm so used to doing things that technically aren't my responsibility that I've lost track. :-P
I think it was more because they have so many school where the kids walk to school but I do know what you mean. Just bundle them up more. Parents in general now a days are lazy with that area. I mean both girls have scarves and hats and mittens and hoods on there coats most of the time.
About that avatar. I think we need to find me a Tigger. J thinks I laugh like Tigger when I get going sometimes. So I think we need a Tigger off of Winnie Pooh for me. LOL... Its warmer today than it has been in days. Its only -9. that is the wind chill. K had her second dentist appointmetn today. She didnt have any cavitities thankfully. Blogger sucks. My husband, The City Troll, was forced to change his over. He said it was pretty easy and it was working fine for him. I have not been forced to yet, but I'm thinking about making the change tomorrow night. I had a LOT of trouble with blogger yesterday through last nigh.
Hope things keep improving. Get some rest and take good care of yourself. I, too, have been in a really strange funk. Can't explain it - I'm starting to come out of it though.
