Let's Vote!
Last night I turned off comment moderation. Vest immediately jumped in to make a total ass of himself. We've all been putting up with his shit for the last several months. Therefore, I'm leaving it up to my faithful friends to decide how I handle the comments on this blog.
I can either:
Turn comment moderation on again.
Leave comments open and delete Vest.
Leave comments open, let Vest make an ass of himself and ignore him.
Please leave your vote in my comments. Tomorrow night I'll tally the votes and take the appropriate action. It's all up to you, my friends!

I still feel this is part my fault. I mean if i wouldnt have asked he more than likely wouldnt have said anything. I vote that you either turn it back on or just delete him. I am tossed up between the two. Tweets.

Well, I think it's escalating to a new level of nastiness judging by what I just read on the post below. He's no longer trying to be witty, he's just resorting to what people do when they can't come up with something original: swearing and lame name-calling. I'd hesitate to give him any voice anywhere. It'll just encourage him. My vote would be to delete Vest's comments or turn your comment moderation on. The guy can't take a hint and giving him any forum for his assinine BS is a victory for him. But, this is your blog. If you want to go to the trouble of deleting/moderating, then do it. If you want to let it all hang out, that's fine, too. But I for one am getting sick of the bastard, and I personally wouldn't want any of his vitriol infecting my web space. I have no idea why he chooses to do this on your site. It's ridiculous.

Is there a way to block certain users/IPs from commenting? That would be pretty cool. I bet not though, eh?
You should copy his comments, delete them from the blog, paste them into word, and then make Haiku out of them for later posts
I say leave it on, delete the offensive garbage, keep his idiotic comments to advertise his psychotic behavior to blogger's like me. I find his sort of illness interesting to study
I can understand that you would not want certain levels of filth from filling your comments, but moderation is extra work for you and causes a delay in feedback. And, the fun part of the internet is free speech. I think most of us are capable of ignoring offensive people but if you feel like deleting nasty comments, feel free. I happen to enjoy when folks make asses of themselves and find that virtually anonymous namecalling is meaningless. As I said on my own blog, a nasty comment says far more about the commenter than the commentee.
I vote that you leave the comments moderation on. I believe he gets vicarious thrills seeing his comments published. Only publish the ones that have something positive to contribute. He recently left two comments for me. One my my brother's blog that was nasty. I deleted his comment and finished disassembling that blog. He left an okay, but iffy comment on the VC blog and I let that one go. If he gets his thrills being published and the only way he can get published here is to be positive, he'll either learn to behave or go away. Just my 2 cents worth.

The funny thing is I never commented on his blog or visited it. What ever. I may be fat old boy but you know what I bet you I could still out run you if I had to. LOL... Well anyway I hope he leaves us alone from now and I think you should just delete his comments as they come along. He doesnt have nothing nice to say dotn say it at all ok. Oh goodness. tshsmom, remember when I was having trouble with a certain someone? I remember what you told me via email and it helped with the frustration but I still opted for the deleting method. It worked. He got bored and hasn't been back yet I assume that this comment will get his sights back on the Junction.
